Season 2 DVD

Volume 4 titled “Fugitives”

Tim Kring did an interview recently with Neil Wilkes over at Digital Spy during the Edinburgh TV Festival. In it, he talked about the future of Heroes, the missing volume from season 2, and a few other interesting things.

  • Volume 3, “Villians”, will consist of 13 episodes.
  • Volume 4, which will be picking up immediately after volume three completes, is called “Fugitives”, with 12 episodes.
  • Had it not been for the writers strike, Volume 3 would have been called “Exodus.”
  • There are no Origins talks right now, but they do hope to see it sometime in the future.
  • Echo DeMille from the webisodes will be part of Volume 3.
  • They’re working on the schedules to get Christopher Eccleston back.
  • There will be no info on Caitlin in Volume 3.
  • What would you have Volume 4 be about? All the Heroes are now evil? Or maybe everyone knows about them and they’re on the lam. We know the government co-operates with The Company [from the Kill Squad graphic novels], so maybe they’re done co-operating?

    Season 2 DVD Deleted Scenes

Someone has uploaded to YouTube a couple of the deleted scenes that should have appeared in season 2, but because of the writers strike, were cut. Included are the alternate ending that would have led into an entire volume that would focus on Odessa, Texas being ravaged by the virus, unleashed after Hiro’s confrontation with Adam (it’s pretty long, almost 8 minutes worth of new stuff you haven’t seen before):

Other deleted scenes include Kaito (Hiro’s dad) telling Ando about his powers from the episode “Four Months Ago”:.

    Volume 2 DVD Pre-Order

For those of you over the pond, Amazon.co.uk has finally added Heroes: Volume 2 DVD to their site for you to pre-order. It’s given a release date of July 28th, 2008, which disputes the date we previously posted as August 28th.

For those of you in the US, you can enter your email on the Amazon.com Heroes: Volume 2 DVD page to be notified when you can pre-order. Neither site mentions Blu-Ray.

Volume 2 only had 11 episodes, so it will probably only be two, maybe three disc’s. You’d think it would be cheaper, but it’s listed on the UK site as £24.98, which is nearly $50.00.
