Episode Review for 3.07, “Eris Quod Sum”
Airdate: Monday, October 27, 2008
Episode Summary:
-We briefly visit Hiro and Ando in Africa, taking more lessons from Utusu (who apparently makes a mean root/dung paste)
-Niki and Nathan find Mohinder’s nest and fight back.
-Mohinder turns to Pinehearst and is recruited. Arthur very kindly takes her powers (too bad they’re doomed even worse off now) and she leaves to find redemption.
-Peter vows revenge on his father “for all that you’ve done”
-Elle makes a shocking return this week, seeking help from Noah, much to Claire’s annoyance.
- There is a nice father/ son reunion between Arthur/Gabriel. Daddy wants’ his son to join the family business (not the watch shop this time)
-We find out just how far Angela’s manipulations are going (Can someone give Christine Rose an Emmy now?)
-Daphne is forced to kill Matt, who thinks 3 steps ahead when Knox comes to make sure she finished the job (but Matt never saw her betrayal coming)
-Nathan and Tracy meet up with Noah and Meredith (awkward ex-girlfriend/new girlfriend meeting)
-Elle almost brings down the house (err, plane) with her electrifying meltdown. She and Claire make their way to Pinehearst
-Peter tries to convince Gabriel that Arthur is not the answer then is shoved out a window (on Arthur’s orders) and then saved by Gabriel (not on Arthur’s orders)

Was the Right Path Taken? This question plagues (and I mean totally pelts) our Heroes. Much of this show, since Episode 1 has been the questioning of choices. And ultimately that is what life is about. The writers not only keep us on our toes about where the season is going, but brings us in closer, by giving us themes we can all relate to. Long Winding Paths, losing our way, forging our own courses guided by faith to find a kindred soul, seeking solace in the arms of another, or even removing ourselves from a path to avoid temptation, in some form or another the Heroes journey just as we do. Okay, philosophical, deep chatter done, onwards and upwards!

Season 2 DVD Deleted Scenes
Someone has uploaded to YouTube a couple of the deleted scenes that should have appeared in season 2, but because of the writers strike, were cut. Included are the alternate ending that would have led into an entire volume that would focus on Odessa, Texas being ravaged by the virus, unleashed after Hiro’s confrontation with Adam (it’s pretty long, almost 8 minutes worth of new stuff you haven’t seen before):
Other deleted scenes include Kaito (Hiro’s dad) telling Ando about his powers from the episode “Four Months Ago”:.
Two New Volume 3 Ads
Thanks to Adam for letting me know there was a new trailer for Volume 3 out there. I managed to find it on HeroesRevealed. The first one is someone filming their TV, the second one is good quality. If someone finds a better version of the first one, please let me know and I’ll try and post it.
Update: NBC has posted the trailer featuring Noah and Claire.
