Couple of new site features…
As requested, I re-added the countdown clock to count down the time till the next episode. Looks correct to me. Is it?
I also added a “Random” link to the top right navigation. Clicking this link will take you to a random page or post on HeroesARG. I thought it might be fun, and sometimes it will bring back old topics. Check it out.
I also added a little plugin called “Where did they go from here?”, which you can see at the bottom of each post. What this will do is list posts and pages that readers went to from that current post. Since it’s new, it will take a little bit of time to start listing, but check it out.
I’m also working on the affiliates page. I’m going to clean it up and see if I can maybe make a ‘Featured Friend’ type thing on the main page.. hopefully fully automatic. Either featured, or random, I haven’t decided yet.

Should HeroesARG be spoiler free?
I try to avoid posting spoilers, even for the rare puzzles we receive. Since we try to only report on Evolutions or things not directly from the show, it’s pretty easy.
A few weeks ago I added the ability to wrap spoilers in a <spoiler> tag [like this] so nothing is given away for those who want to figure it out themselves. If you guys wanted more spoilers, this tag could easily be used to hide them.

Poll time! Is Evs male or female?
Ever since Evs was first introduced, i’ve gotten a very female vibe from him/her. Today, it made me say “she” when posting about his/her latest email and text without even thinking about it, until it was pointed out to me that I had done that. I’ve never even thought that Evs might be male, but i’d like to know what you guys, and gals, think.
Do you feel that Evsdropr is male or female?

HeroesSongs has moved
Our sister Heroes music site, HeroesSongs has moved and upgraded and ss no longer hosted by Blogger. HeroesSongs is now running Wordpress with many new features, and many more to come.
HeroesSongs was built as a community site to track and find out what songs were being played during the Heroes episodes. How that the official soundtrack is out, you can find info for it there as well.

‘Heroes’ Receives 3 Emmy Nominations
The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences last night announced their 2008 nominations. Heroes receieved three nominations, all for post-production work.

New Social Blogging and ‘Heroes Magazine’ archive pages
I’ve created two new pages for HeroesARG. The first, Heroes Socialize has links to all the social sites that include Heroes information. It’s a work in progress and it needs your help. Please check out the info and post anything you find that may be wrong. I really want to make this a great page, just like the other two archive pages [Episode & Graphic Novel Archive, Primatech Paper’s Assignment Tracker Accounts]
The second page is a Heroes Magazine page in the Library. It will have all the info for Titan Magazines Heroes Magazine.
I also added the ability to comment on some pages just like you can on posts.
We’ve upgraded to Wordpress v2.6. Everything should look and function the same for you, if not, please drop me a line. Right now the Popular Posts tab is not working, but it will be fixed once the plugin author upgrades the plugin. It’s working now. Everything should be working perfect now. Let me know if you have any problems.
Update: I’ve also finally got around to installing the ‘Share This’ plugin from Alex King. See the bottom of each post or page.. it gives you several options to post to a social site, your profile on a social site [myspace, facebook], or blog it to your blog. check it out.
