Season 2 DVD Deleted Scenes

Someone has uploaded to YouTube a couple of the deleted scenes that should have appeared in season 2, but because of the writers strike, were cut. Included are the alternate ending that would have led into an entire volume that would focus on Odessa, Texas being ravaged by the virus, unleashed after Hiro’s confrontation with Adam (it’s pretty long, almost 8 minutes worth of new stuff you haven’t seen before):
Other deleted scenes include Kaito (Hiro’s dad) telling Ando about his powers from the episode “Four Months Ago”:.

That first one is cool. You can see where they were going.. I still wanna know what Angela’s power is…. and why she’s willing to sacrifice everyone and anyone for whatever goal she’s working towards.

i love that the writers got what they wanted but man, i kinda wanted to c this play out, i mean, it would be soooooo kool to have seen this volume but villains seems like it is going to be intense so i don’t regret it but yea, Kaito has a very useful power

I don’t wanna watch them until I can see them in high quality on the Heroes Season 2 DVDs, coming in two weeks, although according to Amazon, I won’t get them until that Friday. I have, however, read descriptions of the first and second video at least, and I agree, Kaito’s power explains a lot.
Also, we’ll be learning Angela’s power in the first episode of Season 3.

I finally succumbed to the temptation and watched them:
Alternate ending: I prefer this one over the aired one. I can understand why they changed it; the virus plot carrying into Season 3 would have been stupid. But I thought this provided good mid-season closure (with everyone watching the press conference) and a good cliff-hanger, especially considering Nathan had just recovered from the burns. The ending scene with Angela makes no sense however, considering what she alluded to and who she was talking to looking ahead to Season 3.
Deleted scene 1: Not sure why this was deleted. Good power though. Explains a lot. This brings up something I completely forgot about. Assuming Nathan slipped the picture inside the newspaper, why did he have it? I’m assuming Adam was aware of Angela’s past relations with Kaito, so had her pass on the message instead of him. But still…
Deleted scene 2: Good, no, great emotional insight into Nathan’s character. Shows off Pasdar’s acting skills and Simon and Monty Petrelli get to do something! Are people still hooked up to IVs when going through physical therapy? If so, that’s clearly the reason for cutting it out. Otherwise, I think it would have played great into the episode, providing some emotional depth.
