After returning to Vietnam, Linderman travels the country doing odd jobs and searching for a place to call home. When Linderman meets Linda Tavara, he remembers what it feels like to fall in love after years of being away at war. Linderman’s fear of entrusting others is realized when he finds out that Linda has been waiting for him.

Oh wow, so that’s how he was able to meet up with his squad leader (Dallas)!

Hmm.. I just edited the GN Archive section. This GN is almost a year overdue.

That was pretty good. Maybe we’ll see more of Linderman now. I’d like to know more about how he got to where he was before he died.
Is it ‘To be continued’? Or was that it. Last frame didn’t say.
Don’t forget to check out the interview with this issues’ artist that we posted yesterday.
I’m gonna make a new banner. Either the one of the close-up of his eyes, or the one of them embracing. I think the eyes.

Oh no the George Lucas trick. Lets show the last part first then fill in the gaps. All in all though quite interesting. To bad we’ll never know where Linda came from but, we don’t need another power thief either. One Sylar is enough.
And no to be continued? Probably because we know the rest of the story…

Is it just my computer, or are the words in the journal on page 7 going off the page? That Easter-egg was the best ever.

After seeing the picture, the only thing that comes to my mind is Mrs. Lovette (Helen Bonham Carter) from Sweeney Todd: Butcher of Fleet Street
These are probably the worst pies in London.
I know why nobody cares to take them!
I should know!
I make them!
But good? No…
The worst pies in London…
Even that’s polite!
The worst pies in London!
If you doubt it take a bite!

I dunno Patrick, I saw it too and thought ‘who did the lettering?’
“If you shoot me you can’t have any of my potpie.”

Linda said that a woman told her where to find Linderman. Is anyone else thinking “Angela”? Also, who thinks we’re going to see Linda in Volume 3?

Hmmm, perhaps she is one of the unidentified women in The Twelve. JMO, from the frames in the novel (pg. 7), she was bleeding fairly profusely from a head wound and I presumed Daniel burned her body, not wanting to chance running into her again or, was that a war memory?
Frank on 19 February 2008 | Want an avatar? Get your free Gravatar!
Ya, shot and burned bodies don’t usually come back.

There is no ‘unidentified’ people in the 12. If you look carefully at Matt’s labeled pictures and the files you can work out the names. The surnames hit you for 6 though. That’s where i got the idea of a & b groups being related to c in the assignment traker posts.

Actually the bodies were Au Co and her mother from ‘Nam.

That was my first thought, War Terrors, I never served in ‘Nam but I have meet some that have. Many of the young boys we sent over never came back quite right. But, then the story line isn’t that clear. Hpefully, the next GN will shed more light?

Yeah, there aren’t any unidentified Twelve members. Search “the Twelve” on Heroes Wiki, and there’s a good-quality picture of Matt’s labeled picture. One of the Twelve is named Carlos Mendez (Isaac’s dad?)

They’re not all identified. The woman standing besides Maury has 3 (???) in a circle. The wiki even says there is a dead unidentified female. http://heroeswiki.com/Group_of_twelve. Double check.

From same article:
” Cautionary Tales
Matt notes to Angela that everyone in the picture is dead except for Angela, Bob, Maury and a mysterious woman. The remaining unidentified members are listed as: Victoria Pratt, Carlos Mendez, Paula Gramble, Harry Fletcher, and a female who’s name is not legible. (The last two being originally named on The List)”
The wiki has The Mysterious woman linked to Victoria Pratt, then they go on and mention Victoria as one of the remaining unidentified members, along with a female who’s name is not legible. If her name isn’t legible who is she?

Actually, the unidentified woman does have a name…

OK, I took the 4 frames of the sticky note they had and aligned and stacked them in RegiStax. See the result here http://members.cox.net/spazasm1284/Mystery%20Womans%20Name.jpg
Looks more like Sharon or Shanti Amman to me (Did Chandra have an affair and named his daughter after the woman?)
